"It [my work] collapses the distance between the artwork and its transformation into a social media post, which exists to promote the artist and their "brand". By placing the artist within the gallery as the art object, it underscores how the artwork itself becomes a mere extension of the artist’s brand, with the post as its final, defining form that the majority of people are able to engage with. In addition, performing this social media documentation (in the form of a live-stream) in front of the audience allows them to see behind the scenes of the creation of the artist-persona."
